why roadsterouter

Why RoadsteRouter

Most routers chase the lowest fee. But a cheap fee can hide expensive gas and thin liquidity. RoadsteRouter adds up every cost, prices both routes at the same block, and shows you what actually lands in your wallet.

the route, step by step

How the router decides

  1. 01 · two routes

    One swap. Two ways through.

Every quote is priced through a dynamic fee pool and a static fee tier, with the same input and the same block.

  2. 02 · fees move

    Dynamic fees adapt.

A dynamic pool's hook sets the fee for each swap. A static tier's fee is fixed when the pool is created.

  3. 03 · hidden costs

    Gas and impact count.

Hooks cost extra gas. Thinner liquidity costs price impact. Both come out of what you actually receive.

  4. 04 · the answer

    Net output decides.

The route that leaves you with the most after everything wins. Here it's the dynamic pool. A different trade can flip it.

features

The lowest pool fee doesn't always give the best swap. A pool with a lower fee can still cost more in gas or price impact. The router adds up all three before recommending a route.

01

Route comparison

Price the same swap through a dynamic fee pool and a static fee tier pool side by side, using the same inputs.

02

Fee transparency

Pool fee, estimated gas, and price impact are broken out separately, so a low headline fee can't hide a higher total cost.

03

Estimated execution outcomes

Routes are ranked by estimated net output after gas. Near-ties are labelled as ties, and unavailable quotes are shown, not skipped.

What makes a fee “dynamic”?

  • In Uniswap v4, whether a pool uses dynamic fees is decided when the pool is created and can't be changed later.
  • A dynamic fee pool can update its LP fee through updateDynamicLPFee (for example, at set intervals), or a hook can set it before each swap.
  • LP fees are separate from protocol fees and hook fees. The router quotes the actual swap output, so whatever fee a hook applies is already included.

mission route

Every swap runs the same sequence, from coordinates to launch.

  1. Phase 01 · Set coordinates

    Enter your swap

Pick ETH, USDC, or USDT and an amount. Inputs are checked as you type, so invalid amounts are flagged right away.

  2. Phase 02 · Scan routes

    Compare live routes

Each route is quoted on-chain at the current block. Pool fee, estimated gas, and price impact are all converted into the output token.

  3. Phase 03 · Lock the best route

    Review the best net output

The route with the highest estimated net output is highlighted with plain-language reasons. You can still pick the other one.

  4. Phase 04 · Launch

    Swap from your own wallet

Approvals are for the exact amount only, and the quote is re-simulated right before you sign. RoadsteRouter never holds your funds.

— RoadsteRouter

01Does RoadsteRouter hold my funds?

No. RoadsteRouter is non-custodial. Swaps are signed in your own wallet and go directly to on-chain contracts. Approvals are for the exact amount and expire after 30 minutes.

02Where do the quotes come from?

From on-chain quoter contracts at the current Ethereum block, refreshed and re-simulated just before you sign. Nothing is made up or cached for long.

03Does RoadsteRouter charge a fee?

No. You pay the pool's own fee and Ethereum gas, both shown before you swap. RoadsteRouter adds nothing on top.

04Why does the static pool sometimes win?

A dynamic pool can charge a different fee and cost more gas through its hook. RoadsteRouter compares net output after all costs, so whichever route leaves you with more is recommended.

05Which wallets and tokens work?

Any browser wallet on Ethereum mainnet, such as MetaMask or Phantom. You can swap ETH, USDC, and USDT. Funds on other networks, like Solana, need to be bridged to Ethereum first.
